Labour proposes 'Start Up Year' visa scheme to attract student graduate entrepreneurs

07-Oct-2015

The federal Labour opposition has proposed a visa program to offer 2,000 international students a visa to stay in Australia for a further year after they have graduated from university if they have a credible start-up business idea.

The proposal known as 'Start Up Year' would see student graduates work in tandem with university incubator programs to see through the planning and development of new business initiatives.
